Shaw Business recognized the prominence and growth of Chinese entrepreneurs and SMEs in Western Canada, a community who are heavy users of WeChat as an app for instant messaging, content, and social media. Their sales team tasked Monsoon with streamlining their marketing efforts onto one official WeChat account for the brand.

By creating a verified Shaw Business WeChat account, the brand would be able to manage all marketing communications in one centralized account, speak to their audience in a consistent brand voice, and respond to customers inquiries in real-time. The account architecture was designed to easily navigate through Shaw’s business products and services in Chinese and direct all leads to a sales agent via an automated chatbot or a live agent. Monsoon worked closely with Shaw to develop their always-on content strategy to engage WeChat followers with informative and relevant content.

The launch of the account was supported with traffic-driving ads in the digital and social space featuring the official account’s QR code. The account continues to gain a steady following, and garner new leads for their Sales team.
